Description
The scientific name for the Hawaiian green sea turtle is Chelonia mydas, but the Hawaiian name is simply: “Honu.” Despite their status as an endangered species, there are relatively common sightings around the coral reefs in Hawaii waters. In addition to feeding and resting, honu in Hawaii can also be observed basking on sunny beaches.
This is an original imprint that was created from a replica sea turtle. Hand printed on mulberry paper using printmaking ink. The paper measures 14 inches high and 11 inches wide and the edges of the paper are deckled.
Stamped in the lower right corner with my red chop and signed in pencil. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
