Description
He`e or tako, can be found in reefs to around 50 feet deep. Large animals can attain 15 lbs and can be dangerous. Their tentacles are powerful enough to choke a diver. Diving for octopi can be dangerous for other reasons as well because their scent attracts sharks. In Hawaii, tako are considered a delicacy and often eaten as poke.
This is a limited edition print created from the original gyotaku titled “Hawaiian Octopus”. Each print is matched to the original with meticulous accuracy printed with archival inks on canvas wrapped around a wooden cradle. Stamped with my red chop and signed and numbered in the lower right corner. It will arrive ready to hang with all hanging hardware.
