Traditional gyotaku techniques were used to create this artwork. It involves applying ink to the squid, then hand-rubbing the imprint onto paper to create an accurate record of the subject.
Each limited edition print is meticulously matched to the original and printed on heavyweight, textured, 100% cotton fine art paper using archival pigment-based ink for long-lasting beauty. The print measures 17 inches tall by 11 inches wide. The deckled edges of the paper provide a unique and sophisticated touch, and the print can be framed either behind a mat or “floated” above a backing to showcase the deckled edge.
Each print is signed, numbered, and stamped with my red seal, and comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
