Description
Introducing “Uhu ele ele ( Scarus rubroviolaceus) ” a limited edition fine art print of the original gyotaku work of art featuring the Parrotfish, one of the most spectacular fish in the sea.
Traditional gyotaku techniques were used to create this stunning and detailed representation of the Parrotfish. The technique involves applying ink to the fish, then hand-rubbing the imprint onto paper to create an accurate record of the subject.
Each limited edition print is meticulously matched to the original and printed on heavyweight, textured, 100% cotton fine art paper using archival pigment-based ink for long-lasting beauty. The deckled edges of the paper provide a unique and sophisticated touch, and the print can be framed either behind a mat or “floated” above a backing to showcase the deckled edge.
“Uhu ele ele” is a limited edition print available in 2 sizes. Each print is signed, numbered, and stamped with my red seal, and comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
In addition to bringing the beauty of the natural world to your home, your purchase of this limited edition print supports the protection and preservation of Hawaii’s reefs and native fish populations. A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated to local non-profit organizations working to restore and maintain healthy ecosystems.
