Description

Coho Salmon, also known as Oncorhynchus kisutch, can be found in the coastal streams and oceans of the Pacific Northwest. These fish, also referred to as silver salmon, hatch in freshwater streams and after a year, migrate to the saltwater environment of the ocean to feed and grow. After approximately 1.5 years in the ocean, they return to their birth streams to spawn, typically in fall or early winter.

This fine art print titled “Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch)” is a reproduction of the original gyotaku. The prints are carefully matched to the original with utmost precision and printed on the finest museum-quality archival paper using pigment-based inks to ensure that your artwork lasts for many years. The paper edges are deckled, and the print can be framed either behind a mat or “floated” above a backing to showcase the deckled edge.

Each print is unique, as it is individually signed and stamped with my red seal, ensuring that you receive a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
