Description
Flying fish are one of the most interesting types of fish due to their ability to glide through the air. They can make powerful, self-propelled leaps out of water into air, where their long, wing-like fins enable gliding flight for considerable distances before returning back to the water.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind, hand-rubbed impression taken from a replica flying fish. Printed using the direct method of gyotaku with archival printmaking ink and rubbed onto Mulberry paper. It is PH neutral (acid free). The paper measures 11 x 17 and has a soft deckle edge, which looks great when “floated” in a frame, rather than mounting it under a mat.
