Description
Ghost crabs, are known in Hawaii as `ohiki . They live on sandy beaches in burrows above the waterline. In ancient Hawaii, a poorly placed home, open on all sides to attack, was called “lua `ohiki” or “sand crab hole”.
This pale little crab was made using soy ink rubbed onto 100% silk. The silk has been mounted onto a rice paper backing to give it body. Signed in pencil and stamped with my red chop. The mat window opening is 2.25 wide x 3.25 high and is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. Comes with a signed, certificate of authenticity. Frame not included.
